In response to the dual needs of European chemical enterprises for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, safety and environmental protection, the vsa oxygen plant (Vacuum Swing Adsorption Oxygen Generation Equipment) produced by GNEE has completed the mass production of 10 units. These units are being successively shipped to the Port of Rotterdam Chemical Park in the Netherlands and the Antwerp Chemical Base in Belgium, serving the supporting production of chemical giants such as BASF and Bayer. The core challenge in this production was meeting the explosion-proof requirements of chemical parks—according to the EU ATEX explosion-proof certification, equipment used in Zone 1 hazardous areas must have dual protection of "intrinsic safety + flameproofing". However, components such as the equipment's motor and solenoid valve are prone to generating electric sparks, making protection extremely difficult. After six months of research, GNEE's R&D team adopted a separated design of flameproof motor and intrinsic safety control system, encapsulating the circuit part in an explosion-proof shell. At the same time, the heat dissipation structure was optimized to avoid potential safety hazards caused by excessive temperature during equipment operation. Eventually, the equipment successfully obtained ATEX IIB T4 explosion-proof certification. This VSA oxygen generator combines the energy-saving advantages of vacuum swing adsorption oxygen generator and the stability of PSA technology. Under the working condition of 1000 Nm³/h oxygen output, the unit oxygen power consumption is as low as 0.28 kW·h/m³, and the operating cost is 18% lower than that of traditional PSA equipment, making it an ideal oxygen supply solution for oxidation reactions in the chemical industry.
In chemical processes such as hydrogen peroxide production, sulfur recovery, and caprolactam synthesis, oxygen serves as a core raw material, and its purity and pressure stability directly affect reaction efficiency and product quality. This pressure swing adsorption psa oxygen plants adopts a dual adsorption tower alternating operation design, with an adsorption cycle that can be flexibly adjusted within 1-5 minutes. It can dynamically adjust oxygen output according to reaction load, with an oxygen output range of 500-1500 Nm³/h and a stable oxygen purity of 99.3%±0.2%. The exhaust gas recovery system equipped with the equipment can secondary recover the 1%-2% residual oxygen in the nitrogen discharged from the adsorption tower, increasing the overall oxygen recovery rate to 92% and significantly reducing energy waste. The person in charge of the hydrogen peroxide production workshop of a Dutch chemical enterprise introduced: "Before using this equipment, we used liquid oxygen for oxygen supply, and the oxygen cost per ton of hydrogen peroxide was about 85 euros; after the equipment was put into use, the oxygen cost per ton dropped to 62 euros. Based on an annual output of 100,000 tons of hydrogen peroxide, we can save 2.3 million euros annually." Meanwhile, the equipment's pressure fluctuation is controlled within ±0.02 MPa, increasing the product purity of hydrogen peroxide from 98.5% to 99.2%, which is more in line with the needs of the high-end market.
"We have noticed the breakthroughs made by Chinese manufacturers in PSA technology, especially the innovations in energy-saving and explosion-proof design, which fully align with the development trend of the European chemical industry," said a representative of the European Chemical Procurement Alliance. "The psa oxygen plant cost of this equipment is 25% lower than that of European local brands, and the warranty period for core components such as molecular sieves and solenoid valves is as long as 3 years, far exceeding the industry average of 1 year. It provides us with a cost-effective choice." This export has also driven the simultaneous supply of supporting consumables such as molecular sieves and precision filters, forming a complete supply chain service.
